IPZS has minted the 5 euro silver commemorative coin dedicated to the 80th anniversary of Pallacanestro Varese. Signed by engraver Silvia Ciucci, it pays tribute to one of Italy's most decorated basketball clubs using the team's traditional symbols. Emblematic is the cockerel, historic mascot of the Roosters, embodying pride, tenacity and belonging. The reverse depicts a child dribbling a ball and realising the dream of turning professional, represented by the athlete scoring a basket, with the number "80" marking the anniversary.
